Bernard Jan has been working for Jumbo Group in several roles since 2005, with a main focus on legal practice. Prior to Jumbo, he worked as an attorney for several law firms, specialising in intellectual property law, with a step in between being an impresario/ producer in the Dutch theatre business. 

Today Bernard Jan focuses on legal compliance, IP protection and negotiations and the completion of many (IP-related) deals and commercial agreements. Further, he is secretary to the Supervisory Board and ‘head of office’ of the office of Jumbo Group in the Netherlands (Zaandam). 

Bernard Jan obtained his master’s degree in law at the University of Leiden. Furthermore, he is a certified mediator. 

In his spare time, he is active on boards of various cultural institutions.
